Support Worker

We provide compassionate, reliable NDIS support worker services for people with disabilities and mental health needs across Melbourne. We listen to what matters to you and tailor support to your routines, preferences and goals.

What support can include

How we work

We communicate clearly, involve you in decisions and provide support in a way that feels safe, respectful and comfortable. Where a support worker is working alongside one of our occupational therapists, the therapist sets the plan and the support worker helps put it into practice, which supports continuity and helps manage costs.

We are based in Ringwood and travel across Melbourne. We coordinate nearby appointments where we can and generally cap travel charges at 30 minutes.

Funding

Support worker services are funded through the NDIS for self-managed and plan-managed participants, or privately. See our funding and fees page, or read about our NDIS occupational therapy services and our allied health assistant service.

Common questions

What is the difference between a support worker and an occupational therapist?

An occupational therapist assesses, sets goals and writes reports. A support worker provides the ongoing practical help that makes daily life work, such as assistance at home, transport and community participation. Many clients use both.

Can a support worker help deliver my OT program?

Yes. Where it suits the plan, a support worker can carry out strategies set by the occupational therapist between appointments. This keeps progress moving and helps manage the overall cost of therapy.

Do you provide respite?

We can provide short-term respite as part of a support worker arrangement. Talk to our administration team about what you need.
